1984 Connections Activity

Objective: Student Groups will apply characters and themes from 1984 to events & media in modern world
Groups of students will divide the sources below.  Each student will take about 10 minutes to fully explore his/her source.  Each student will have about 10 more minutes to then contribute 2 slides to their group's shared Google Slide Presentation. 
1st slide will be a summary of the source.  
2nd slide will be to consider how a particular character from 1984 would react to the source.
Restrictions: only 7 words per slide/ unlimited images
Upon completion, each student will have 3 minutes to train another student to present the slide they created.
Random groups will be selected to present the slides they learned from each other to the class (60 seconds per slide).
